Is Hizballah the party of God, as the Arabic meaning of its name suggests, or are they the enemies of God? The answer can be found in this week's Torah portion with Rashi's commentary:
(Numbers Chapter 31) 1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: 2 'Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites; afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.' 3 And Moses spoke unto the people, saying: 'Arm ye men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute the LORD'S vengeance on Midian.
Rashi explains why Moshe said "the LORD's vengeance," rather than "Israel's vengeance":
For, when anyone stands against Israel, it is as if he stands against the Holy One, Blessed is He.
Maybe they should change the name of their organizaton.
